Origami Forever

This site was recently mentioned on MainCampus.com, in an article entitled, "Break on Through to the Other Side" (See the Links section).

My name is Eric Michael Andersen, and about a year and a half ago I finished my Senior year at Brown University, in Providence, Rhode Island. I concentrated in mathematics, but I also have a strong interest in music. I was a Teaching Assistant for Math 19 and 20 (Advanced Calculus for Physics/Engineering) and Music 55-56 (Introduction to Music Theory).

In my free time I find myself doing quite a bit of origami, the art of paperfolding. I tend to enjoy very complex models, such as those by Robert Lang and Fumiaki Kawahata. I am especially interested in origami and mathematics and origami history, but I invite you to explore all aspects of paperfolding.com!

I also love to travel; above is a picture of me by a brook in Woodstock, Vermont. Of course, working on my Web site is a big hobby...my other hobbies include cycling, rollerblading, singing, and playing the piano (classical and jazz), and multimedia!

I now live in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, only a few miles outside of Boston. I'm an e-business Consultant for IBM Global Services in Cambridge, specializing in IBM's e-business solutions. I'm currently on the design and development team for StaplesLink.com, a Net.Commerce-based business-to-business Web site which provides Staples' contract customers with real-time pricing and inventory.
